Stella Damasus Sets Standards For Her Daughter’s Future Husband

When it comes to the man her daughter eventually marries, Stella Damasus is not leaving much to chance.

The veteran actress has made it clear that love alone would not be enough to convince her that a man is right for her daughter. She has certain standards in mind, and they cover everything from character and finances to faith and even physical appearance.

For Stella, the way a man treats her daughter matters greatly. She wants someone who will respect her, value her and be genuinely devoted to her.

She also believes a man should be in a position to handle his responsibilities before taking on the responsibility of marriage. Financial stability, therefore, makes her list of important qualities.

“He needs to have enough to take care of you”

Her point, however, is not simply about having money. Stella also places a strong emphasis on discipline. She wants the man to have control over his life and be responsible in the way he conducts himself.

According to her, discipline should extend beyond one particular area. It should reflect in his mind, his body and his general lifestyle.

Faith is another quality she would like to see. Stella said she wants her daughter’s husband to love and fear God, but she does not see that as something that should exist without personal responsibility. A man’s beliefs, in her view, should also be reflected in the way he lives.

Then there is one requirement that came with a lighter touch: good looks.

Stella admitted that she would also like her daughter’s husband to be handsome, especially because of how beautiful she considers her daughter to be.

“He has to be good-looking because you are the embodiment of beauty,” she added, referring to her daughter.

With all these expectations, it is clear that Stella is looking beyond the usual idea of simply finding someone who loves her daughter. She wants a man with character, stability, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility.

And while she has already mentioned several qualities, she stated that her list does not stop there. For the actress, choosing a life partner for her daughter is clearly something she takes seriously, and she expects the man to have more than one good quality before he earns a place in the family.
