Yoruba Nollywood actor Rykardo Agbor has expressed gratitude to God after surviving a serious car accident.
The actor shared a video showing the aftermath of the crash on social media, with images of his badly damaged vehicle giving an indication of the severity of the incident.
The accident reportedly occurred around the Cornerstone City billboard area along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Reacting to the incident, Agbor thanked God for preserving his life and helping him escape the crash without losing his life.
He wrote, “As I was saying, thank God Almighty I made it out of this. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ.”
Following his post, several of his colleagues took to the comment section to express relief and thank God for his survival.
Among those who reacted were Sotayo Gaga, Toyin Adewale, Tijani Adekola, Jigan Babaoja, Kevin Ikeduba, Segun Ogungbe, Jamiu Azeez, Fausat Balogun, Joseph Momodu, Adeniyi Johnson, Toyosi Adesanya and Mustapha Sholagbade.
Their messages largely centred on gratitude and prayers for Agbor’s continued safety.
The actor’s experience comes amid other reports of road accidents involving Nigerian entertainers. In June, Yoruba actor Adeshina Okiki reportedly died following a fatal crash, while singer Portable previously survived an accident after his vehicle developed brake problems.
Other entertainers, including Mustapha Sholagbade, Bolaji Ogunmola and Abiodun Adebanjo, have also previously shared accounts of surviving road accidents.
Agbor’s latest experience has therefore prompted renewed concern and prayers among his colleagues and fans, with many celebrating his survival.
