Nollywood actress Ihuoma Linda Ejiofor has celebrated what she described as a record-breaking year in her career following the success of Black Market and her historic double victory at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
The actress took to social media to celebrate her achievements while jokingly encouraging movie producers to consider casting her if they want their productions to break and shatter records.
Ejiofor’s latest celebration came after Black Market attracted more than 63,000 people during an attempt to break the record for the largest number of people watching a movie.
Black Market Draws Over 63,000 People
Black Market recently attempted to set a record with a large-scale movie viewing event held at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
The event reportedly attracted more than 63,000 people, making it a major gathering for a movie screening and drawing attention to the production.
Following the turnout, Ejiofor took to social media to celebrate her association with the record-breaking moment.
The actress confidently told filmmakers that they should cast her in their movies if they want to break and shatter records.
“You want your film to break and shatter records, cast me in them. 2 records in one year! Chineke na my plug,” she wrote.
The post attracted reactions from fans, colleagues and friends who joined her in celebrating what has been a significant period in her acting career.
Historic AMVCA Double
Ejiofor’s celebration comes months after she made history at the 12th edition of the AMVCA in May.
The actress became the first actress to win both the Best Lead Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories on the same night.
She won the Best Lead Actress award for her performance as Ijeoma in The Serpent’s Gift.
She also claimed the Best Supporting Actress award for her portrayal of Adama in The Herd, the directorial debut of actor Daniel Etim-Effiong.
The double victory placed Ejiofor among the major talking points from the awards ceremony and marked a significant moment in her career.
Husband Celebrates Her Success
Following her AMVCA victories, Ejiofor shared a video showing her playfully bossing her actor husband, Ibrahim Suleiman, around with her AMVCA plaque.
In the caption accompanying the video, she joked about one of the benefits of becoming an award winner, saying one of the perks was getting cooked for on demand.
Suleiman has also continued to publicly celebrate his wife’s accomplishments.
Reacting to her latest post about her achievements, he described 2026 as a remarkable year and expressed his pride in her.
“2026, what a year!! I am so proud of you, baby,” he wrote.

Several entertainers and fans also flooded Ejiofor’s comment section with congratulatory messages.
Toyin Abraham reacted with “Oshey,” while Stan Nze described her achievement as something he loved and congratulated her.
Peggy Ovire, Adeniyi Johnson, Tayo Adeniyi, Amara Kanu and others also celebrated the actress.
Ariyiike described it as a record-breaking year, while Lala Akindoju called Ejiofor a “history-making queen.”
