Jeremiah Mayowa, the CEO of Jeroid, is taking his use of artificial intelligence far beyond the usual workplace experiments.
For Mayowa, AI is not simply a tool for making a few tasks easier. He is already building systems around it and says his long-term plan is to use the technology to replace the work currently being handled by his employees.
He said :
“I plan to replace all my staff with AI, and I’m already working on it. I’ve built tools for that and use them personally. Yesterday, I did something that would take my team 5 days in just 5 minutes.”
That statement gives an idea of how seriously the Jeroid boss is approaching automation.
Rather than waiting for ready-made AI products to solve every problem, Mayowa says he has been developing his own tools and putting them to use. His argument appears to be based largely on the amount of time AI can save when it is applied to tasks that would otherwise require several people and several days to complete.
The example he gave was particularly striking. According to Mayowa, a job that would normally take his team five days was completed in only five minutes after he used an AI-powered tool.
That kind of difference in turnaround time is at the centre of his approach. If a process can be completed accurately in minutes instead of days, the question for him is whether there is still a need for people to handle that particular task manually.
Mayowa's comments also suggest that his plans are not something he intends to leave in the future. He says he has already started putting the technology into practice, including using tools he has built himself.
For a company like Jeroid, this could mean a very different approach to how work is organised. Tasks that once depended on staff members could increasingly be handled by software, while human workers may be left with responsibilities that require decisions, creativity, communication or other abilities that AI tools are not being used to perform.
Still, Mayowa's statement is broader than simply saying AI can make employees more productive. He specifically said, “I plan to replace all my staff with AI,” making it clear that he is considering automation as a possible replacement for human labour rather than only as an assistant to employees.
His five-minute example is the clearest explanation he has given for why he sees that possibility. If the technology can already compress days of work into minutes, further development could make automation an even bigger part of the way his company operates.
For now, Mayowa says the process is already underway. He is building the tools, using them himself and testing what they can accomplish.
And his message is straightforward: if AI can do in minutes what a team would spend days doing, he wants to find out just how much of his business can eventually run that way.
