Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has spoken out after a false report claimed that she had died following an accident.

The actress made it clear that she is alive and appealed to her followers and the public to help report any social media page spreading the claim.

Kadiri expressed her frustration over the situation, saying she could not understand why anyone would go as far as creating a story about another person’s death.

“I am alive!!...Please help me report any page that carries such news. I’m really sad at the extent some people will go on this social media space to hurt and wish de.ath on another person. They created several pages to circulate the false rumour despite knowing nothing happened to me...I stay on my lane. Leave me alone. I beg you all. It’s really becoming tiring and sad.”

Her reaction came after the false report began circulating online, with the claim suggesting that she had been involved in an accident and died.

Rather than ignore the report, Kadiri chose to address it directly and ask people to take action against accounts carrying the story. She particularly appealed to those who come across the publication to report it instead of helping to spread it further.

The actress also expressed how upsetting it was to see someone deliberately create and circulate a death story about her. For Kadiri, the issue goes beyond an ordinary false report, as she questioned why people would wish death on someone who has done nothing to them.

Her statement also showed how deeply the situation had affected her. She pleaded with those behind the reports to leave her alone, noting that she prefers to keep to herself and avoid unnecessary trouble.

“I stay on my lane. Leave me alone. I beg you all,” she said.

Kadiri’s response was therefore not only about correcting the false information but also about drawing attention to the emotional impact such reports can have on the person involved and their loved ones.

False reports of death can cause panic among family members, friends and fans, particularly when they involve well-known personalities. In Kadiri’s case, she decided to publicly confirm that she was alive while urging people to help stop the circulation of the claim.

The actress ended her message by describing the situation as tiring and sad, making it clear that the repeated nature of such incidents had become a source of concern for her.
