HomiTV Adds Nancy Isime’s Inbetween Colours to Streaming Catalogue

African streaming platform HomiTV has expanded its catalogue with the addition of Inbetween Colours, a Nigerian drama that explores love, illness, purpose and the difficult choices that come with an uncertain future.

The film, which is now available to audiences globally on the platform, was produced by Samuel Rapulu Oramali, Managing Director of Irvor Media Limited, and directed by Uche Agbo, President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria.

The drama features a cast including Nancy Isime, Mercy Aigbe, Segun Arinze, Rapulu Oramali and Alvin Abayomi.

At the centre of the story is Mike, a man whose life takes an unexpected turn after he is diagnosed with melanoma. Instead of immediately confronting his condition and seeking treatment, Mike chooses to withdraw and live in denial.

His situation changes when he encounters Sophie, a wealthy woman who runs an NGO. Despite having financial resources and professional success, Sophie is searching for a deeper sense of meaning and fulfilment.

Their meeting develops into an unlikely relationship that forces both characters to confront difficult questions. While Mike has to deal with the reality of his illness, Sophie must consider how far she is prepared to go for someone whose future remains uncertain.

The story carries an additional personal dimension because it draws from Oramali’s own experience of surviving skin cancer. His connection to the subject gives the film a personal foundation and helps bring greater attention to the issues explored through its characters.

Oramali has also highlighted concerns about the increasing exposure to sunlight in sub-Saharan Africa and its implications for people with albinism, particularly in relation to skin cancer.

Beyond entertainment, the filmmaker hopes the production will encourage conversations around the condition and create greater awareness of an issue that is often overlooked.

HomiTV CEO Enock Ofosu Mensah said the platform remains focused on making African stories accessible to viewers around the world. He described the addition of Inbetween Colours as part of the company’s effort to showcase culturally rooted stories from across the continent.

HomiTV’s catalogue includes Nigerian and other African films, documentaries and original productions, giving filmmakers another avenue to reach audiences beyond their local markets.

With Inbetween Colours now streaming globally, viewers can follow Mike and Sophie’s emotional journey while engaging with the wider themes of illness, relationships, purpose and resilience explored throughout the film.

The addition further expands HomiTV’s collection of African productions and highlights the growing range of stories emerging from Nigeria’s film industry.
