There are growing questions surrounding the whereabouts of Nigerian music producer Samklef after media personality Dr Fab claimed that he had confirmed the producer was arrested some time ago.
According to Dr Fab, Samklef’s absence was not simply a decision to stay away from the public, as he claimed the producer had been taken into custody. He also suggested that details surrounding the alleged arrest were still being kept away from the public.
Dr Fab made the claim while expressing concern over what he described as Samklef’s prolonged silence.
“Wow. 😮 I just confirmed directly that Samklef was arrested, sometime ago.. hence the reason for his silence. They are holding back who is behind this. I’m getting more informations. He must come out !!! .
The media personality did not provide details about where Samklef was allegedly being held or the circumstances that led to his arrest. He said, however, that he was still trying to get more information about the matter.
The situation appeared to concern Dr Fab particularly because of the length of time he claimed Samklef had spent in detention.
In another X post, he appealed for attention to be given to the producer’s situation and questioned why, according to his claim, there had been little public information about it.
“Please guys let’s help Samklef. This is not nice. How many months inside and everyone’s keeping quiet. 😡 😡 😡. It will not be well with whoever is behind this.”
Dr Fab went further, saying he intended to personally make efforts towards securing Samklef’s freedom.
Rather than simply raising the allegation and leaving the matter there, he said he was prepared to take steps to help the producer.
“I’m going to do all I can to make sure he’s free. I promise you Samklef, you’re going to be a free man! There’s no room for injustice in this world. Make una no worry.”
The claims have placed fresh attention on Samklef’s absence, although details about the alleged arrest, including the circumstances surrounding it, the agency or individuals allegedly responsible, and the reason for the reported detention, have not been independently established from the information currently available.
Samklef, whose real name is Samuel Oguachuba, is known in Nigeria’s music industry as a producer, musician and sound engineer. He has worked with several prominent Nigerian artistes and has remained a familiar name in the entertainment space over the years.
For now, Dr Fab’s statements remain allegations about Samklef’s reported detention. More information would be needed to establish exactly what happened, who may be responsible and whether the producer is currently being held.
His promise to do what he can to secure Samklef’s freedom, however, shows that he intends to pursue the matter until more answers are available.
