Carter Efe has given more insight into his upcoming celebrity boxing clash with Speed Darlington, making it clear that the fight is about more than just stepping into the ring.
The comedian and content creator spoke ahead of the October 1st bout, explaining that he does not believe Speed Darlington has anything he can use to expose him. According to Carter, the situation is actually the other way around because he claims to be the person who knows the secrets of others.
He said:
“Speed Darlington can never expose me, I’m the one with people’s secrets.”
Carter also pointed to Speed Darlington’s past comments about Burna Boy as one of the major reasons he is particularly interested in facing him.
For Carter, the issue is not simply about the two entertainers going head-to-head in a boxing match. He questioned why Speed Darlington would make such a claim about a major artiste like Burna Boy and suggested that someone needs to draw the line.
“The major reason I want to b£at speed Darlington is because he called Burnaboy a G@y, how can he be saying that to a big artiste like that?”
Carter went on to mention Davido, saying he is concerned that Speed Darlington could eventually direct similar comments at another major Nigerian music star.
“If I don’t stop him, he’ll say it to Davido too", he added.
The upcoming bout has therefore become a personal challenge for Carter, who appears determined to settle the matter inside the boxing ring.
While celebrity boxing matches often bring together entertainers who have little experience in professional boxing, the attraction usually comes from the personalities involved and the stories surrounding the fight. In this case, Carter and Speed Darlington already have very different personalities, making their October 1st meeting an interesting matchup.
Carter's latest comments suggest that he sees the fight as an opportunity to confront Speed Darlington directly rather than simply treating the event as entertainment.
