Daniel Regha Raises Concern Over King Ochacho’s Son Vaping

Daniel Regha has questioned the decision of billionaire businessman King Ochacho and other adults around his son after a child was seen vaping during a boat outing.

The outing was reportedly arranged by King Ochacho for his son and some of his friends as part of the celebration surrounding the release of his son’s music. While the occasion appeared to be centred around having a good time, attention was drawn to a moment in a video from the boat ride.

One of the children present was seen with a vape and appeared to deliberately display it towards the camera. The sight did not sit well with Daniel Regha, who questioned why the adults present did not intervene.

For Regha, the bigger issue was not simply that a child had access to a vape, but that there were adults around who could have used the opportunity to correct the child.

He argued that children still need proper guidance from the older people around them, particularly in situations where they may be exposed to habits that could negatively affect them.

He said:

“Mr. Ochacho organized a boat ride for his son(s) with friends to reportedly celebrate the release of his son's music, and in the video posted one of the children was vaping and even showing it off close to the camera; The Mr. Ochacho himself and other adults present there couldn't correct the child. Like is this what society has turned into, adults are supposed to be guiding children to the right path,” 

The comments bring attention to the responsibility adults have when children are in their care. A celebration or private outing may be intended as a fun experience, but it can also become an environment where children pick up behaviours from what they see around them.

Vaping has become increasingly visible among young people, with concerns often raised about children gaining access to vaping devices and becoming exposed to nicotine at an early age. For Regha, the presence of several adults at the outing should have provided an opportunity for someone to step in.

His criticism was therefore directed not only at the child seen using the vape but also at the adults who were present when it happened. His point was that children may not always understand the consequences of certain actions, which makes adult supervision and correction important.

The incident has also raised a broader question about the kind of guidance children receive during social occasions. While parents and guardians naturally want their children to enjoy themselves, Regha believes that moments like this should not be ignored simply because they happen during a celebration.

At the centre of his criticism is the expectation that adults should remain responsible for the children around them, even when everyone is gathered for a special occasion.

For Regha, having fun and celebrating should not come at the expense of teaching children what is right and wrong.
