"Why Would Anyone Launch a Trolling Campaign Against His Own Brother?" — Patrick Doyle Reacts To Paul Okoye's Jabs At Peter

Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has weighed in on the ongoing family dispute involving the P-Square brothers, suggesting that the public might never have learned so much about the rift if things had been handled differently from the outset.

In a post shared on his page, Doyle reflected on how the disagreement has unfolded in recent weeks following Peter Okoye's decision to publicly address the issues that have strained his relationship with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

According to the actor, the particular incident appears to have changed the course of events. He believes the situation escalated after Rudeboy publicly criticised Peter over his comments about not making the Igbo language a priority for his children. In Doyle's view, that moment became the trigger that eventually led Peter to begin speaking openly about the family's long-running disagreements.

Expressing his opinion, Doyle wrote:

"We might never have gotten to hear the full story of the Psquare saga if Rude Boy had the restraint not to put Mr. P down after his published comments about not prioritising the Igbo language for his children. Sometimes a little restraint is a good thing. Why would anyone launch a trolling campaign against his own brother? Now that Mr. P has decided to give us the full gist, his brothers are not looking so good."

Doyle's post suggests that family disagreements can quickly grow into something much bigger when they are allowed to play out in public. He argued that showing restraint, particularly between close relatives, can sometimes prevent situations from escalating and exposing deeply personal issues.

His comments come at a time when Peter has been releasing a series of videos explaining his version of the events that led to the breakdown of his relationship with Jude and Paul. In the videos, Peter has revisited several issues surrounding the family's business affairs and personal disagreements, insisting that he remained silent for years before deciding to tell his side of the story.

Jude Okoye and Rudeboy have also publicly addressed different aspects of the dispute, each offering their own account of what transpired. While the brothers continue to disagree over the events that led to their fallout, Doyle believes the latest developments might never have reached the public if there had been greater restraint from the beginning.

The long-running disagreement has once again drawn attention to one of Nigeria's most famous music families, with each new statement adding another chapter to a story that has continued to unfold over the years.
