Temitope Osoba: Actor Yomi Fabiyi Calls for Full Investigation

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi has called for the postponement of the burial of his late colleague, Temitope Osoba, amid reported allegations surrounding the circumstances of her death.

Fabiyi made the appeal in a statement in which he urged the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation before the actress is laid to rest. 

He expressed concern over allegations and rumours circulating about the circumstances surrounding Osoba’s death and stressed the importance of establishing the facts.

According to the actor, delaying the burial would allow investigators to properly examine the case and determine what may have happened before her death. 

He argued that proceeding with the burial before an investigation could potentially make some aspects of the inquiry more difficult.

Fabiyi specifically raised concerns that if the body were buried before the commencement or completion of an investigation, authorities could later be required to exhume it should a post-mortem examination become necessary.

In his statement, the actor appealed for the burial to be put on hold until the relevant authorities have completed their work and established the circumstances surrounding Osoba’s death.

His call comes as discussions about the late actress continue to attract attention within the Nigerian entertainment industry and among members of the public.

Fabiyi described the allegations circulating online as disturbing and called for the matter to be handled through proper investigative procedures rather than speculation.
