Sheggz Denies Cheating On Bella

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sheggz has addressed the circumstances surrounding his relationship with fellow reality TV star Bella, denying that he was unfaithful and saying the pair have been apart since January 2026.

Sheggz, who has generally kept his personal life away from public discussion, explained that he did not initially intend to speak about the matter. According to him, protecting his family and maintaining his privacy have always been more important to him than responding to public conversations about his life.

This time, however, he felt the need to clear the air.

He said remaining silent had become difficult after spending years building his reputation and being careful about how he conducted himself publicly.

“I have never spoken publicly on the internet out of respect for my family, and it simply isn’t my nature to do so. However, after four years of working hard to build my life and my reputation, I feel it is only fair to clarify my position rather than allow my name or character to be unfairly tarn!shed.

“I am a man who values family, friendship, integrity and my faith. I am a brother, a friend to many and most importantly, I know the values I stand for. I am not an abus£r.

“For clarity, I did not cheat on Bella and I have been single since January 2026.”

His comments also come with an explanation of what he was dealing with personally during much of 2025.

Sheggz said that period was far from easy, as he spent considerable time receiving medical care and moving in and out of hospital. He described himself as grateful to have made it through the experience and said he later travelled to England for treatment and recovery.

“Much of 2025 was an extremely difficult period for me as I spent a significant amount of time in and out of hospital. I am genuinely grateful to be alive after everything I experienced. Following treatment and recovery in England, I returned to Nigeria in October 2025, where I became aware of information that caused me to question the honesty within our relationship.”

The timeline given by Sheggz places the end of the relationship in January 2026, rather than suggesting that the pair were still together when the alleged cheating took place.

He has therefore drawn a clear line between the end of the relationship and the accusation of infidelity, insisting that he did not cheat on Bella.

Sheggz and Bella became one of the most recognised couples to emerge from Big Brother Naija after meeting during the reality show. Their relationship continued outside the house and attracted considerable public interest over the years.

But Sheggz's latest statement suggests that there was more happening privately than the public may have known, particularly during a period when he was dealing with his health and spending time outside Nigeria.

For now, his position is straightforward: he says he did not cheat on Bella, says their relationship ended in January 2026, and says he chose to speak because he did not want allegations about his conduct to define his reputation.
