American entrepreneur and longtime supporter of Nigerian content creator Peller, Gregory, has opened up about his experience in Nigeria after attending the traditional wedding ceremony of Peller and Jarvis, revealing that his visit has inspired a bigger goal beyond the celebration.
While reflecting on his trip, Gregory said the warmth he received from Nigerians and the atmosphere at the wedding left a lasting impression on him. According to him, the experience was unlike anything he had witnessed at weddings in the United States, describing the event as lively, welcoming and full of genuine connections.
Sharing his thoughts, Gregory said:
“I prefer Nigerian weddings to the weddings in the United States.
The people were beautiful and so kind. Everything was well out together. In the United States we have weddings too, but the weddings are more like laid-back...it's like United States weddings are boring. Yo that wedding was lit. I had fund. I vibed. We all vibed. We met so many cool people and networked. United States better pick up their wedding game, I'll tell you that.
I feel safer in Nigeria and enjoyed my time. I’m in talk with Peller & Jarvis because I want to open a school and invest in the Nigerian educational system. Hopefully we can do it. That would be my dream. I'm not going to the white wedding because I've got to go to a conference in Amsterdam.”
Beyond speaking about the wedding, Gregory revealed that he is already discussing plans with Peller and Jarvis that could see him contribute to Nigeria's education sector. He explained that opening a school in the country is a personal dream, adding that he hopes those conversations eventually develop into a meaningful project.
According to Gregory, one of the highlights of his trip was meeting new people and building relationships throughout the wedding festivities. He said the celebration created an opportunity to interact with guests from different backgrounds, making the occasion memorable for reasons that extended beyond the marriage ceremony itself.
Although he disclosed that he would not be attending the couple's white wedding because he has a business conference scheduled in Amsterdam, Gregory said he would be leaving Nigeria with positive memories of his stay. He noted that he felt comfortable throughout his visit and appreciated the kindness shown to him by the people he met.
His comments come shortly after making the trip from the United States to celebrate with Peller and Jarvis, a visit that has drawn attention not only because of his presence at the wedding but also because of his expressed interest in supporting education in Nigeria.
If the proposed project eventually takes shape, it could mark the beginning of a collaboration between Gregory, Peller and Jarvis that goes far beyond content creation, focusing on expanding educational opportunities and giving back through long-term investment in the country.
