Fuji music star Wasiu Alabi, popularly known as Pasuma, is set to headline the 2026 edition of the J Cornerstone Woolwich Carnival in London.
The cultural celebration, which brings together members of the African community and other residents, is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 31, 2026, in Woolwich.
The event will be held at Parry Place and Spray Street, with organisers promising a day filled with music, cultural activities and entertainment.
Now in its third year, the carnival has continued to create an avenue for people in the diaspora to celebrate their heritage while promoting togetherness and community spirit.
Pasuma Leads Entertainment Line-Up
Pasuma is expected to be one of the biggest attractions at this year’s carnival, with the veteran Fuji musician billed to headline the entertainment programme.
His appearance is expected to add a strong Nigerian flavour to the celebration, particularly among fans of Fuji music and Yoruba culture living in London.
The singer has built a reputation for his energetic performances and long-standing contribution to Nigerian popular music.
Joining Pasuma on the entertainment programme will be MC Muffin, who will serve as the host of the event.
Other invited musicians and media personalities are also expected to participate in the carnival, adding variety to the entertainment programme.

All White Party Theme
The 2026 edition has been themed an “All White Party”, with guests encouraged to dress in white for the occasion.
According to the organisers, the dress code reflects the event’s broader message of peace, unity and community spirit.
The all-white theme is expected to give the carnival a distinctive appearance while reinforcing the organisers’ vision of bringing people together regardless of their backgrounds.
Guests attending the event are therefore expected to participate by wearing white outfits as they join the celebration.
Celebrating African Heritage
The Woolwich Carnival was established as a platform for celebrating shared heritage and strengthening connections within the African community in the diaspora.

Speaking about the importance of the event, convener Abiodun Jacob, popularly known as Abbey Oko Oyinbo, said the carnival had developed into an important platform for celebrating heritage and unity.
“The Woolwich Carnival has grown over the past three years into a critical space for celebrating our shared heritage and unity,” Jacob said.
He expressed excitement about the entertainment line-up for the 2026 edition, particularly the involvement of Pasuma and MC Muffin.
“With Pasuma, MC Muffin and an exceptional lineup of guest stars on board, the 2026 All White Party will offer an unforgettable cultural experience,” he added.
Event Open To The Public
Jacob also confirmed that the carnival would be open to members of the public.
The organisers are encouraging people who plan to attend to observe the all-white dress code and participate fully in the activities.
The event is expected to attract Africans living in Woolwich and other parts of London, as well as people interested in experiencing African music and culture.
Beyond entertainment, the carnival is positioned as an opportunity for members of the community to socialise, celebrate their heritage and strengthen relationships.
With Pasuma leading the musical entertainment and several other personalities expected to attend, the 2026 J Cornerstone Woolwich Carnival is set to combine live performances with cultural celebration.
