Kira Taiwo, daughter of late Nollywood veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has visited her father’s graveside as she continues to mourn his passing.
The emotional visit came days after the veteran Yoruba actor died at the age of 66, leaving behind family members, friends, colleagues and admirers who have continued to pay tribute to his life and career.
Kira shared a photograph from her visit to her father’s final resting place on social media, accompanying the image with an emotional message about how she is coping with his absence.
In the post, she described the moment as spending time with her father, drawing a comparison between her visit to his graveside and the times she would visit him at Odunfa whenever she missed him.
Her message reflected the difficulty of coming to terms with the reality that her father is no longer physically present.
‘Chilling With My Daddy’
Remembering the moments she would visit her father while he was alive, Kira said she used to go to Odunfa whenever she missed him.
She admitted that she was uncertain about how she would cope with returning to the place without him.
“Chilling with my daddy. Just how I go to Odunfa when I miss him,” she wrote.
The simple words captured the close relationship between Kira and her late father, as she held on to memories of the times they spent together.
She also used the emotional moment to pray for her father, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his sins and shortcomings.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to forgive your sins and shortcomings, papa. You have all my love forever and always,” she added.
Ogogo’s Burial
Taiwo Hassan died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66.
His death came after reports that the actor had been battling stage-four cancer. His daughters, Kira and Lima Taiwo, had previously appealed for medical assistance for their father as his health deteriorated.
Following his death, the family proceeded with his burial according to Islamic rites.
The actor was buried in Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday, August 24, a day after his death.
Several prominent figures from the Yoruba entertainment industry attended the burial to pay their final respects to the actor.
Among those present were veteran actors Jide Kosoko and Yinka Quadri, as well as actor Femi Adebayo and other colleagues and friends.
Family Continues To Mourn
Ogogo’s death has been particularly difficult for his children, who had openly spoken about his health challenges before his passing.
Kira had earlier shared emotional moments while discussing her father’s condition and the impact of his illness on the family.
She had also spoken about her close bond with the actor, describing the pain of watching him go through severe health challenges.
