Nigerian disc jockey, entrepreneur and philanthropist Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has revealed that she receives marriage proposals regularly, but insists she is in no rush to settle down.

Speaking in a recent interview, the media personality shared insights into her personal life, educational pursuits and career ambitions.

She explained that although many people frequently ask about her relationship status, she remains focused on building herself academically and professionally.

Cuppy admitted that questions about marriage have become a regular part of conversations with family members, especially her grandmother.

Responding with her trademark sense of humour, she joked that every time she is asked about finding a husband, she simply presents another academic qualification instead.

According to the entertainer, marriage proposals come from different directions and are not limited to admirers or fans.

She noted that many people appear eager to help her find a life partner, even when she has not requested such assistance. Despite the constant attention, she suggested that she is comfortable following her own timeline rather than giving in to societal expectations.

Beyond music, Cuppy has developed a deep passion for education. Over the years, she has earned degrees and professional qualifications from some of the world's leading institutions.

She explained that her desire to keep learning comes from wanting a better understanding of the industries she works in rather than simply participating in them.

The billionaire heiress said education has broadened her perspective and equipped her with knowledge that extends beyond entertainment. She believes continuous learning has helped her become a better entrepreneur and positioned her to make more informed decisions in business and philanthropy.

Cuppy also reflected on her relationship with her father, businessman Femi Otedola, recalling a memorable experience that made her smile. She shared that her father was once recognised at an airport by someone who referred to him as "Cuppy's dad."

The moment was particularly meaningful because she is more commonly identified as his daughter. According to her, it felt rewarding to see her own achievements shape how people recognised her father.

The entertainer further discussed the mission of the Cuppy Foundation, explaining that she wants her charitable work to create lasting impact rather than provide only temporary relief.

She believes true philanthropy should focus on solving problems and improving lives over the long term.

Through scholarship initiatives and educational support programmes, the foundation continues to assist African students facing financial challenges. Cuppy said empowering young people through education remains one of her greatest passions.

While marriage continues to attract public attention, the entertainer appears content with prioritising personal growth, education and meaningful social impact.

For now, she is focused on expanding her knowledge, growing her career and making a difference through philanthropy, leaving matters of marriage to unfold naturally in their own time.
