Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has shared his views on marriage, infidelity and family, stating that he would not end his relationship with his wife if she cheated on him.
The Grammy-nominated musician made the remarks while discussing relationships and the way couples respond when one partner is unfaithful. Kuti suggested that cheating should not automatically lead to the end of a marriage, stressing that he does not consider infidelity significant enough to make him walk away from his wife.
“If my wife cheats on me, I won’t leave her because it doesn’t mean anything,” he said.
The singer’s position challenges the conventional view that infidelity should necessarily result in separation or divorce. While cheating remains a sensitive issue in many relationships, Kuti suggested that couples should be able to deal with such situations without allowing them to completely destroy their unions.

“African men are forming as if cheating isn’t a normal thing in a relationship,” he said.

The musician revealed that his sister’s child would be the person he would trust with access to his properties, describing the child as his “real blood”.
“The only person that can have access to my properties is my sister’s child because that’s the real blood,” he said.
