What started as a plan for Peller and his wife to buy their own home for their wedding has taken a very different turn.

The couple had hoped to get a house in Lekki as a wedding gift to themselves, but according to Peller, the cost of properties in the area made the search frustrating. Even with a budget of N200 million, he said they could not find a house that worked for them.

Then came the N400 million mansion from billionaire Ochacho.

Peller was visibly emotional as he talked about how the house came to him, especially because it was far beyond what he and his wife had originally planned to spend on a home.

“God is good God is really Good, you see God, He is really good, i wanted to buy myself and my wife a house for our wedding gift, but houses in Lekki were so expensive that I couldn’t even find a ₦200 million house.

God, however, surprised us with a ₦400 million mansion.”

The gift has now moved from a promise to something Peller can point to. He showed the documents for the property that Ochacho handed over to him, giving a clearer picture of the house he is set to receive.

It is also not going to be a case of waiting indefinitely before the mansion is completed. Peller said the house should be ready in about two months, cutting down the earlier timeline of six months.

That development means the newly married couple may soon have a home waiting for them, despite the fact that their original plan had been to find and purchase one themselves.

Peller's account of what happened is quite simple. He and his wife wanted to buy a house, but the prices they met in Lekki made it difficult to get what they wanted for N200 million. Instead, Ochacho stepped in with a property valued at twice that amount.

The documents now in Peller's possession are another part of the story. After receiving the papers, he can look forward to the completion of the mansion rather than continuing the search for a house.

For the couple, the N400 million property has become an unexpected addition to their wedding plans. What they intended to buy for themselves has instead come as a gift from someone else, and Peller says he is simply grateful for how everything turned out.

With the house expected to be ready within two months, the next stage is now getting the mansion completed and ready for the couple to move in.
