Beauty entrepreneur and reality TV personality Adeola Adeyemi, popularly known as Diiadem, has denied rumours alleging that she had an affair with businessman Olakunle Churchill.
Diiadem addressed the claims in a series of social media posts, describing the allegations as false and urging members of the public to stop presenting assumptions as facts.
The entrepreneur explained that she has known Churchill for more than 13 years, noting that their relationship dates back to her days as a student in Ghana.
According to Diiadem, the long-standing friendship has remained strictly platonic despite recent speculation linking the pair romantically.
She said her presence at events involving Churchill should not be interpreted as evidence of a romantic relationship, explaining that she attends events organised by friends and supports people she cares about.
“I’ve known Big Church for over 13 years. We have a long-standing friendship that dates back to my school days in Ghana. The pregnancy rumour being attached to our friendship is completely false,” she wrote.
Diiadem Explains Her Relationship With Churchill
Diiadem said she was surprised that her friendship with Churchill had become the subject of rumours and speculation.
She explained that having a long-standing friendship with someone does not automatically mean there is a romantic relationship between them.
“I attend my friend’s events. I support the people I care about, and that’s all there is to it,” she stated.
The entrepreneur also appealed to people to avoid creating stories around friendships simply because two people are seen together or publicly support each other.
“Not every friendship needs to be turned into gist,” she added.
Her comments come amid online discussions surrounding her relationship with Churchill, with some social media users attempting to connect their friendship to pregnancy allegations.
She Denies Confirming Pregnancy
Diiadem also addressed another aspect of the controversy, specifically claims that she had admitted to being pregnant for someone.
The entrepreneur firmly denied ever making such an admission and said comments she previously made had been misunderstood and taken out of context.
According to her, she had never confirmed that she was pregnant for Churchill or any other individual.
“One more thing. I never admitted to being pregnant for anyone, nor did I confirm any of the narratives currently being circulated,” she clarified.
She explained that the phrase “my married ex”, which had generated further speculation, was not a confession about her personal circumstances.
Instead, Diiadem said she was simply referring to wording that had already been used publicly.
“The term ‘my married ex’ was simply me referencing a phrase that had already been used publicly,” she explained.
‘Stop Turning Assumptions Into Facts’
Diiadem said the statement was subsequently interpreted differently online, resulting in a narrative that she claimed had no basis in fact.
“Somehow, that has now been turned into an entirely different story. Please, let’s stop turning assumptions into facts,” she added.
Her clarification appears aimed at drawing a line between publicly available comments and the interpretations that have emerged from them.
The entrepreneur maintained that her friendship with Churchill should not be used as evidence to support claims about an affair or pregnancy.
She also stressed that people should be careful about spreading unverified information about the private lives of public figures.
The controversy comes at a time when Diiadem has remained in the spotlight over developments surrounding her personal relationships and public exchanges with other personalities.
By directly addressing the allegations, she has sought to clarify what she says is the actual nature of her relationship with Churchill and to reject the claims being circulated online.
Diiadem’s statement makes it clear that, according to her account, her connection with Churchill is based on a friendship that has lasted for more than a decade.
She maintained that attending his events or showing support does not indicate anything beyond friendship.
The entrepreneur ended her clarification by asking the public to separate facts from speculation and refrain from turning assumptions into established claims.
The allegations remain unsubstantiated, while Diiadem has firmly maintained that there was no affair or pregnancy involving Churchill.
