Davido Offers $1m To Any Artist Who Can Prove They Have More Hit Songs Than Him

Davido has put a bold price tag on his confidence in his music catalogue, challenging any artist who believes they have more hit songs than him to prove it.

The Afrobeats star made the challenge during a conversation with Darvel, where the discussion turned to the strength of his catalogue and the number of successful records he has released over the years.

Rather than simply arguing his case, Davido said he was prepared to put $1 million in cash on the line. His challenge was directed at anyone confident enough to go head-to-head with him over the number of hit songs in their catalogue.

“I’ll put up a million dollars. I’ll do it versus anybody. A million dollars cash. Nobody got more hits than me. Cash,” Davido said.

The statement reflects the level of confidence Davido has in the body of work he has built since breaking into the Nigerian music scene.

Over the years, the singer has released songs that have remained popular across Nigeria and beyond, while also working with artists from different parts of the world. His catalogue includes records from different stages of his career, giving him a long list of songs to point to when discussing his run of successful music.
