Nigerian singer Brymo has reignited attention around an alleged incident involving Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face, calling on the three music stars to publicly clarify whether they had any knowledge of what he claims happened to him.
Brymo made the remarks during a recent appearance on the Lahor Talk Podcast. The singer said his demand was not for an apology or forgiveness but for an explanation from the artistes over their alleged connection to the incident.
According to Brymo, the incident dates back to 2019 when he allegedly went to Chevron, Lagos, after being led there under the impression that he was going to be hosted. He claimed that the situation took an unexpected turn when he was allegedly told that he needed to join a cult, with the names of Burna Boy, Davido and 2Face reportedly mentioned in the conversation.
Brymo said he has kept the matter largely to himself for years but now wants the three artistes to address the issue publicly.
“I’m not asking for forgiveness from Burna Boy or Davido or 2face. I want them to tell me if truly they didn’t know what happened to me at Chevron or not,” he stated.
The singer's comments suggest that his primary concern is establishing what the three musicians knew, rather than accusing them outright of directly orchestrating the alleged encounter.
Brymo further questioned why the artistes had not publicly addressed the matter over the years if, according to him, they had no involvement in what he described.
He said;
“When I was lured into being hosted, only to be told that I need to join cult and they mention una three name,” he said. “Why are they still quiet about it since all these years if you’re not involved?”
The controversy comes as Brymo points to 2026 as the seventh year since the alleged encounter. His decision to speak about it again has now placed the spotlight on the three prominent artistes he named.
Despite the seriousness of his claims, Brymo maintained that he was not asking the artistes to apologise to him. Instead, he wants them to make their position clear and state whether they had any connection to the incident.
The comments have sparked renewed interest in the long-standing allegations, although the claims made by Brymo remain allegations and have not been independently established in the information provided.
For now, attention is likely to remain on whether Burna Boy, Davido or 2Face will respond publicly to Brymo’s call for clarification.
