Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye is at the centre of a new emotional drama, For the Love of Kene, which officially premiered on YouTube on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The movie, produced by Uduak Isong, is now streaming on the popular UduakIsongTV YouTube Channel, giving audiences an opportunity to follow a story built around motherhood, sacrifice, adoption, family and second chances.
A Mother Forced To Make A Painful Choice
At the centre of For the Love of Kene is a young woman who becomes a mother at just 18.
Faced with the realities of raising a child at such a young age and determined to pursue a better future abroad, she makes the difficult decision to give her baby up for adoption.
Although the decision is presented as one influenced by her desire to build a better life, the separation leaves behind an emotional burden that remains with her for years.
She eventually establishes herself and becomes successful, but the progress does not erase the memories of the child she left behind.
Fourteen Years Later
Fourteen years after giving up her son, the woman returns to Nigeria with one major purpose — to find the child she had left behind.
Her return sets her on a journey that forces her to confront the consequences of a decision she made when she was much younger.
What she expects to be an emotional reunion, however, turns into a painful discovery.
She learns that her son’s adoptive family has fallen on difficult times and that the boy has not had the kind of life she imagined for him.
Son Finds Himself On The Streets
The search becomes even more complicated when she discovers that her son has ended up on the streets and is struggling with substance addiction.
Instead of finding a young man living comfortably with the family that adopted him, she is confronted with a child whose life has taken a troubling direction.
The discovery forces her to question whether leaving him years earlier was the right decision, even though she believed she was making the sacrifice for his future.
Her desire to help him now becomes more than a search for her biological child.
It becomes an attempt to save him from the circumstances that have taken control of his life.
A Fight To Reclaim Her Place As His Mother
As the story progresses, the protagonist faces the difficult task of rebuilding a relationship with a son who has grown up without her.
The years apart have created an emotional distance that cannot simply disappear because she has returned.
She must therefore confront questions surrounding motherhood, abandonment, adoption and forgiveness while trying to convince her son that she is willing to stand by him.
The movie explores the complicated meaning of being a parent and whether biological connections can overcome years of separation.
Bimbo Ademoye Leads The Cast
Bimbo Ademoye takes the lead role in the emotional drama, portraying a woman whose life changes after being reunited with the child she gave up as a teenager.
She is joined by Jessica Obasi, Blessing Obasi and Chukwuemeka Elijah, who contribute to the story’s family and emotional conflicts.
The project is produced by Uduak Isong, with the production built around a storyline that examines the consequences of difficult choices and the possibility of redemption.
