Nigerian comedian and actor Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly known as AY, has sparked reactions after making a suggestive remark about the marriage of legendary singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, and his wife, Natasha Osawaru.
AY made the comment while performing at Daddy Showkey’s 50th anniversary concert in Lagos, where he joked about the singer’s reported marital challenges and hinted that 2Baba could potentially return to his former neighbourhood.
The comedian recalled that 2Baba was once his neighbour before his relationship with Natasha reportedly saw the singer spending more time in Benin and Abuja.
Speaking to the audience during his performance, AY suggested that the current situation surrounding the singer’s marriage could eventually lead to 2Baba becoming his neighbour again.
“Una know say 2Baba na my former neighbour before dem relocate am to Benin/Abuja.
“But the way things dey go so, e be like say he go join me back. I dey observe things. Una think say na only me go dey alone? All of us go collect. You understand wetin I talked abi? Una dey observe abi?” he said.
The remark generated interest because of the ongoing public conversations surrounding 2Baba and Natasha’s relationship.
