Temi Ajibade, the daughter of billionaire businessman and wife of singer Eazi , has shared why she has never felt the need to distance herself from conversations about privilege or deny the advantages she had growing up.

Speaking during a conversation with her husband, Mr Eazi, the entrepreneur and lifestyle influencer reflected on their childhood experiences, the opportunities they were exposed to, and how different backgrounds can shape a person's journey in life.

According to Temi, she finds it surprising when people refuse to acknowledge that they benefited from family connections, wealth or access. She believes admitting those advantages does not erase the effort someone has put into building a successful career or creating a name for themselves. Instead, she sees it as simply being honest about where they started from.

Sharing her thoughts, she said:

"You can never catch me off or on camera saying that I am not a Nepo baby. I find it so crzy when people don't admit to the advantage. At the end of the day, I was given a leg up in life, and I made the most of it. I don't know why it's so hard for people to say that it because they feel it discounts what they have done in their life. At the end of the day, you got into rooms more easily. You don't have to be famous to be privileged. Being a Nepo baby means you've been afforded advantages in life that allowed you to break in. That is an unfair advantage."

Temi explained that, in her view, being born into a privileged family naturally creates opportunities that may not be available to everyone else. While those opportunities may make it easier to gain access to certain spaces, she believes what a person chooses to do with those opportunities is equally important.

She also pointed out that privilege goes beyond having famous parents or coming from a well-known family. According to her, many people enjoy different forms of privilege, whether through financial stability, education, influential networks or other advantages that help them move ahead more easily than others.

For Temi, recognising those realities is not about dismissing hard work or personal achievements. Rather, it is about accepting that some people begin their journey with a head start, while others have to overcome more obstacles before reaching the same destination.

Her comments came as she and Mr Eazi reflected on their upbringing and discussed how acknowledging life's advantages can lead to more honest conversations about success, opportunity and the different paths people take to achieve their goals.
