Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has reacted to the wave of romantic attention she has received from admirers following the conclusion of her marriage.
The actress, who recently confirmed the end of her marriage to her younger husband, Bobby Maris, revealed that she has been overwhelmed by messages from men expressing interest in her.
Taking to her Instagram page, Ogbodo disclosed that she received more than 100 direct messages from potential suitors within a single day.
However, the actress made it clear that she is not currently interested in starting a new relationship, explaining that she needs time to heal, reflect and enjoy some personal space before considering another romantic commitment.
Sharing her reaction to the attention, Ogbodo jokingly asked admirers to be patient, noting that the sudden flood of messages had become too much for her.
“Nah wah ooooo!. It’s like all these men I’ve been looking for a way to get to me, ’cos what in the heaven is going on in my DM. Guys make una Chill ooo! I’m not searching yet! Let me breathe 1st Ogini nu! 100 dms a day is too much for just me nah Haba!,” she wrote.
The actress had recently broken her silence on the state of her marriage after weeks of speculation surrounding her relationship with Maris.
Following reports that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram and shared cryptic posts online, Ogbodo addressed the situation and questioned why ending a marriage was often viewed negatively, especially when a woman chooses to walk away.
She suggested that she had reached a point where she needed to prioritise her happiness and emotional wellbeing after years of trying to make the relationship work.
The actress and Bobby Maris got married in 2023 and welcomed a child together before their relationship reportedly became strained.
