The estranged wife of Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo, Omotayo, popularly known as Iyanaladuke, has publicly addressed long-standing rumours surrounding the collapse of her marriage, firmly stating that actress Toyin Abraham played no role in the issues that led to their separation.
In a statement shared online, Iyanaladuke explained that she had remained silent for years despite the various claims circulating on social media.
However, she decided to speak after a recently circulated video revived old allegations and linked Toyin Abraham to the challenges in her marriage.
According to her, the reports suggesting that Toyin informed her about another actress allegedly being involved with her former husband were completely untrue.
She stressed that the actress had nothing to do with the disagreements or eventual breakdown of the relationship, urging the public to stop spreading narratives that unfairly implicate innocent people.
Iyanaladuke also revealed that she was actively involved in supporting her former husband's movie production during the period in question.
She explained that she remained on set throughout filming and, together with her team, handled the welfare and catering arrangements for hundreds of cast and crew members for several weeks. She said her commitment to the project reflected the support she gave her husband at the time.
The entrepreneur further disclosed that her decision to issue the clarification was prompted by comments made in a viral video by social media personality Mama Esabod. She maintained that several statements made in the video were inaccurate and painted a false picture of events surrounding her marriage.
Despite claiming to possess private conversations and other materials that could support her position, Iyanaladuke said she had deliberately chosen not to release them.
According to her, making such evidence public would only prolong unnecessary controversy and create more tension among those involved.
She emphasized that throughout the difficult period, she never confronted, attacked or harassed any individual over the rumours. Instead, she chose to remain silent while focusing on moving forward with her life.
Her statement has since generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users applauding her for clearing Toyin Abraham's name and discouraging the spread of misinformation.
