Nigerian TikTok star Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has sparked reactions online after questioning a marriage registrar over a warning about the legal consequences of violating marriage vows during his court wedding to fellow content creator Jarvis.
The couple, who officially legalised their union on Wednesday ahead of their highly anticipated white wedding this weekend, were joined by family members, close friends and media personality Daddy Freeze as they celebrated the milestone.

“In a competent court of jurisdiction, if any of you goes against the rules, he or she is guilty of an offence called bigamy. And it’s a punishable offence of a minimum of five years imprisonment with no option of fine.
“Any bed? Should I proceed, or do you want to go and rethink?” the registrar asked.
