Tade Production House has announced a special tribute to the late music icon and actress Onyeka Onwenu by making her final film, To Adaego With Love, more accessible to audiences throughout July.

The initiative is part of activities commemorating the second anniversary of the legendary entertainer's passing and celebrates the remarkable legacy she left behind in music, film and journalism.

The production company shared the announcement on its official Instagram page, describing the film as more than just another movie.

According to the producers, it represents Onwenu's final appearance on screen and serves as a lasting reminder of her passion for storytelling and the arts.

As part of the tribute, the film will be shown in cinemas across Nigeria at a discounted ticket price of ₦2,000 for the entire month, while viewers outside the country can stream it online for $4.99.

The filmmakers encouraged fans and movie lovers to revisit the production in celebration of Onwenu's extraordinary life and career.

They noted that although the veteran actress is no longer alive, her work continues to inspire audiences and future generations of entertainers.

To Adaego With Love is a romantic drama that unfolds during the Nigerian Civil War, exploring themes of love, forgiveness, family ties and reconciliation.

The story examines how the conflict shaped the lives of ordinary people while highlighting the enduring power of hope and human resilience despite difficult circumstances.

The movie was directed by Nwamaka Chikezie, while Brenda Ogbukaa Garuba served as its writer and producer. It features an impressive cast that includes Chioma Chukwuka, Bob Manuel Udokwu, Chisom Agoawuike, Adam Garba, Riyo David, Demi Banwo, Tonia Chukwurah, Six Foot Plus and the late Onyeka Onwenu.

The production received widespread recognition after winning the Best Feature Film and Best Screenplay awards at the 2025 edition of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), further cementing its place among Nigeria's notable cinematic achievements.

Onyeka Onwenu was celebrated as one of Nigeria's most accomplished entertainers, building an enviable career that spanned several decades.

She earned admiration as a singer, songwriter, actress, broadcaster and journalist, leaving an impact across multiple creative industries.

Her death on July 30, 2024, shocked many Nigerians. She reportedly collapsed shortly after delivering a live musical performance at a private function in Lagos and was later confirmed dead, bringing an end to a distinguished career that inspired millions.

Two years after her passing, To Adaego With Love continues to stand as a fitting farewell to one of Nigeria's finest cultural icons.

By bringing the film back to cinemas and digital audiences, Tade Production House hopes fans will once again celebrate Onyeka Onwenu's talent, remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry and the unforgettable legacy she left behind through her music, acting and storytelling.
