Nigerian content creator and social media personality GehGeh has finally explained the truth behind the traditional wedding ceremony that recently sparked widespread reactions online. 

Contrary to what many believed, the event was not a genuine marriage but a carefully designed publicity campaign intended to study how people respond to viral content.

The colourful ceremony quickly became a major topic across social media platforms after videos showed GehGeh and a woman dressed in matching traditional wedding outfits. 

The clips convinced many followers that the outspoken entertainer had secretly tied the knot, prompting congratulatory messages and heated discussions online.

However, speaking during a recent interview, GehGeh disclosed that the entire event was staged from the beginning. According to him, the objective was to create conversation while observing how quickly assumptions spread without verification.

The entertainer admitted that the campaign exceeded his expectations, with the story gaining significant attention in a short period. 

He revealed that the reaction was so convincing that several of his close friends and even members of his family reached out to ask why they had not been invited to the supposed wedding.

Beyond generating publicity, GehGeh said the social experiment also served another purpose. He explained that many people have misunderstood the ideas he shares through his online platform, often believing he discourages men from getting married altogether.

According to him, that interpretation is inaccurate. He maintained that his discussions have never been aimed at condemning marriage but rather encouraging people to think carefully about relationships before making lifelong commitments. 

He insisted that his opinions have often been taken out of context, creating a public image that does not accurately represent his views.

GehGeh also reiterated his personal belief that polygamy offers a better option than monogamy for men, arguing that it reduces emotional pressure within relationships.

 While acknowledging that many people disagree with his perspective, he stressed that everyone has the right to hold different opinions on marriage and family life.

The viral stunt has once again demonstrated the influence of social media in shaping public opinion. Within hours of the videos surfacing, thousands of users had accepted the ceremony as authentic without any official confirmation.

Although reactions to the revelation have been mixed, the publicity campaign succeeded in generating massive engagement and reigniting conversations about online misinformation, celebrity branding, and the speed at which stories spread in the digital age. 

GehGeh's clarification has now put an end to the speculation, confirming that the wedding was never intended to mark the beginning of a real marriage but simply to test public perception.
