Disc jockey Ms DSF has sparked conversations online after sharing a heartfelt message encouraging women to be more understanding and intentional in their friendships. The entertainer expressed concern over what she described as a growing habit of quickly ending relationships whenever conflicts or misunderstandings arise.
According to Ms DSF, many women have become too quick to walk away from friendships after disagreements instead of making efforts to resolve issues through honest communication. She argued that while people often preach the importance of protecting their peace, the idea is sometimes used as an excuse to avoid difficult but necessary conversations.
Taking to social media, she wrote: “Girls be so strict with each other sometimes and it pisses me OFF. You don’t give your friends grace, you don’t let them make mistakes. One fight/misunderstanding and you want to cut people off like OT Genesis.”
The DJ pointed out what she sees as a contradiction in how some people handle romantic relationships compared to friendships. She questioned why some women are willing to repeatedly forgive partners who hurt them, yet quickly abandon friendships when challenges occur.
She continued: “Instead of you to get real, fight through it and have hard conversations, it’s ‘I need to protect my peace, she’s a hater, she’s a weirdo’ blah blah blah.”
Ms DSF emphasized that friendships, like any meaningful relationship, require effort, patience, and the willingness to work through uncomfortable moments. She noted that disagreements do not always mean a relationship is unhealthy, but can sometimes create opportunities for growth and deeper understanding.
Stating what she believes is a major issue in modern relationships, she added: “But you’ve given that same man that don't do right by you 10000 + 1 chances. That behaviour is lame AF. Do better 💕💕”
Beyond friendships, the entertainer addressed the wider impact of individualism in society. She explained that while personal boundaries are important, extreme isolation can prevent people from creating strong support systems.
Ms DSF concluded her message by reminding people of the importance of connection, saying: “Our culture promotes individualism so much to the extreme sometimes. Humans need humans. Humans need love and community and you cannot build a community if every man wants to be an island.”
