Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about relationships, motherhood and personal fulfilment, saying she believes an active and satisfying sex life plays a role in helping women maintain confidence and a youthful glow.
The actress made the remarks during a recent appearance on The Morayo Show, where she reflected on different stages of her life, including raising her children as a single mother, embracing grandmotherhood and learning to handle public controversies differently.
According to Iyabo Ojo, happiness is not determined by marital status but by the quality of the relationship a person is in.
Happiness Is Not About Marriage Alone
During the conversation, the actress dismissed the idea that marriage is the only path to happiness for women.
She explained that both married and single women can enjoy fulfilling lives, provided they are surrounded by love, peace and supportive relationships.
For Iyabo, emotional wellbeing depends largely on the kind of partner a person has rather than whether they wear a wedding ring.
Sharing her personal opinion, she added that intimacy also contributes to a woman’s overall wellbeing.
She remarked that a satisfying sex life has a positive effect on confidence and appearance, jokingly adding that she receives “more than enough.”

During the interview, the actress also reflected on her daughter’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in 2025.
She explained that despite past differences with her former husband, she ensured he played an active role in the wedding ceremony because she believed both parents should be present for such an important occasion.
According to Iyabo, disagreements between parents should never become obstacles to their children’s happiness.
She maintained that separating personal issues from parental responsibilities was the right decision and one she has no regrets about.
The couple later welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada after announcing the pregnancy earlier in the year.
