Nollywood actress Blessing Obasi has opened up about the kind of projects she hopes to take on in the future, revealing that she is intentionally seeking roles that challenge her abilities and leave a lasting impression on audiences.
Speaking during an interview with Saturday Beats, the actress explained that she is no longer interested in simply appearing in films for entertainment alone. The actress disclosed that she spent considerable time studying Mimi's fears, vulnerabilities, motivations, and personal experiences to understand what shaped her actions.
She also worked closely with the film's directors and carefully examined the entire script, not just her own scenes, to gain a broader understanding of the story's emotional direction.
Obasi said this process enabled her to react naturally in every scene, adding that her ultimate aim is to make viewers forget they are watching an actress and instead believe they are witnessing a real person's life unfold.
