Grammy-nominated Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially released his highly anticipated sixth studio album, Oriade, marking another significant milestone in a career that has spanned more than 15 years.
The 13-track project, which dropped on Friday, is now available on all major streaming platforms and features an impressive lineup of Nigerian and international artistes, reflecting Davido’s continued ambition to connect African music with global audiences.
With collaborations spanning West Africa, Europe, South Africa and the United States, Oriade presents a blend of Afrobeats, contemporary African sounds and international influences while showcasing Davido’s versatility as both a singer and collaborator.
International Stars Join Davido
Among the album’s biggest collaborations is Yaya, featuring French-Malian music sensation Aya Nakamura, whose distinctive sound adds a fresh international flavour to the project.
American singer-songwriter Leon Thomas appears on Tell Everybody, bringing his soulful vocals to one of the album’s standout collaborations.
Ghanaian star Black Sherif lends his unique storytelling style to Amazing Grace, while South African producer GL Ceejay teams up with Nigerian producer Jazzwrld on I Know Who I Be, one of the songs released before the album’s official launch.
The collaborations highlight Davido’s commitment to creating music that resonates beyond Africa while celebrating the diversity of sounds across the continent.
Strong Nigerian Collaborations
Alongside the international features, Oriade also shines a spotlight on Nigerian talent.
Former DMW signee Mayorkun reunites with Davido on B4 B4, a track that also features rising artiste Fola.
The album also includes My Light, featuring Llona, and Gimme Dat Ting, which sees Davido collaborate with NO11.
The remaining tracks—On The Road, Julie, Constantly, Already Falling, Zanzibar, and Guide—showcase Davido’s ability to switch between energetic party records, emotional storytelling and melodic Afrobeats.
Singles Built Anticipation
Before unveiling the complete project, Davido had already introduced listeners to Oriade through the release of Gimme Dat Ting and I Know Who I Be, both of which generated excitement among fans ahead of the album’s arrival.
The early releases offered a glimpse into the musical direction of the project while increasing anticipation for the full body of work.
Following months of teasers and promotional activities, the album’s release has quickly become one of the biggest talking points in Afrobeats.
Recorded In A Personal Environment
Speaking about the making of the album in previous interviews, Davido revealed that much of Oriade was recorded at home, surrounded by his wife and children.
The singer explained that working in a familiar and peaceful environment gave him the freedom to create more naturally while balancing family life with his music career.

The release of Oriade also coincides with the 15th anniversary of Davido’s journey in the music industry.
Since breaking into the spotlight with Dami Duro in 2012, the singer has established himself as one of Africa’s biggest music exports, earning multiple awards, international recognition and several Grammy nominations.
Over the years, Davido has consistently expanded the global reach of Afrobeats while mentoring emerging artistes through his record label, DMW, which he founded in 2016.
Expanding His Discography
Oriade joins an already impressive catalogue of successful albums that includes A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023), and 5ive (2025).
Each project has showcased different stages of Davido’s evolution, from energetic street anthems to globally acclaimed records that have dominated charts across Africa and beyond.
With Oriade, the singer once again demonstrates his willingness to experiment with new sounds while staying rooted in the Afrobeats identity that made him one of Nigeria’s most influential musicians.
