Brymo Accuses Burna Boy of Buying His Grammy Award, Questions His Talent

Brymo has revisited his long-running disagreement with Burna Boy, using a recent podcast interview to respond to a lyric that mentioned him while making fresh claims about the Grammy-winning singer.

The singer appeared on the NotJustOk podcast, where the conversation turned to Burna Boy's line, "Hustle make you no fall off like Brymo." Rather than brush it aside, Brymo used the opportunity to explain why he believes Burna Boy is not someone he would ever reference in his own music.

According to him, Burna Boy's name holds no significance in his career or songwriting, adding that he has no intention of changing that.

"I told him your name no go ever appear for my song. You're not that important. Who's your mate? You won a Grammy, and so what? It was bought now. I've been told to pay $10,000 for a BET Awards before," Brymo said.

Beyond the Grammy claim, Brymo also questioned Burna Boy's ability as an artiste, insisting that awards alone do not determine musical talent.

"Can you perform, can you write, can you sing? I don't care what fraternity you belong to."

Brymo did not provide any evidence to support his claim that Burna Boy's Grammy Award was bought. Burna Boy has also not responded publicly to the allegation at the time of writing.

The comments come after Burna Boy mentioned Brymo in one of his lyrics, a line that has now drawn a direct response from the singer. Instead of replying through music, Brymo chose to share his thoughts during the interview, where he spoke at length about his views on Burna Boy's career and achievements.

The latest exchange is another reminder that the relationship between the two singers has remained strained for years. Although the exact source of their fallout has never been fully explained by either artiste, they have repeatedly criticised each other in public through interviews and social media posts.

Over the years, their disagreements have touched on music, success, industry recognition and personal differences, with neither side appearing interested in putting the matter behind them. Brymo's latest remarks suggest those issues are still unresolved, even as both singers continue to follow separate paths in their careers.
