VeryDarkMan has spoken on Nigeria’s security situation, expressing concern over how incidents linked to b@nditry are being handled across the country. In his comments, he drew attention to what he sees as a shift in the way violent cases involving armed groups are now responded to compared to previous years.

He recalled that in earlier times, there was a strong fear among residents whenever the military was involved in any local crisis. According to him, people often assumed that once soldiers were att@cked in a community, the response that followed would be immediate and very intense, which usually made entire areas tense or deserted before any official action even began.

However, he says the current situation feels different. He pointed to a reported incident where b@ndits abd^cted a Nigerian Army general and his wife, and the officer was later k!lled. For him, what stands out is not only the attack itself but the perceived lack of a swift and visible response afterward.

In his words, he questioned the handling of such a serious case, especially considering the rank of the officer involved. He noted that when something like this happens to a senior military figure, it should naturally trigger a stronger and more urgent reaction from security authorities.

VeryDarkMan said;

“I remember back then that whenever f!ght happen for in a community and it involves army officers getting be.aten by the community people, make everybody just run comot for that community cos when the Army people come back, it’ll be de.adly.

Now fast forward to 2026, band!ts k!dnapp£d Army general and his wife, kpai the general and the entire Army haven’t gone anything about it till now”.

He also linked the issue to a wider concern about how insecurity is being managed in the country, especially with repeated cases involving armed groups operating in different regions. According to him, the pattern of attacks raises questions about how effective current strategies really are in dealing with banditry.

VeryDarkMan maintained that his comments were based on what is publicly known and observed, but insisted that situations like this should not be treated casually because they affect public confidence in national security institutions.
