Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has once again drawn public attention to her troubled marriage with fellow actor Freddie Leonard, making fresh allegations about their ongoing divorce proceedings and accusing him of deliberately avoiding court appearances.
The actress, in a strongly worded post shared on social media, claimed that Freddie has been stalling the legal process surrounding their separation while also alleging infidelity involving a married woman with children. Her comments have since reignited public debate around the couple’s relationship, which has been under scrutiny for months.
In her post, Peggy did not hold back as she wrote:
"So called traditional Igbo man with another Igbo man's wife with 4 children, you ran to a blogger that I was lying but when you were served & saw details of my petition, you knew I had seen 1 out of many, yet refused to show up in court but sent your lawyer.
You said you wanted a divorce , yet you didn't show up when you were served, please don't avoid customary court for the 2nd time on June 23rd because I'm coming with receipts & let's make this Divorce done & dusted . So both of you can finally be together"
She further insisted that Freddie Leonard has repeatedly failed to appear before the customary court despite being duly served, instead opting to send legal representation. According to her, the next scheduled hearing is set for June 23, and she is prepared to present evidence in support of her claims.
Peggy Ovire and Freddie Leonard have long been one of Nollywood’s most talked-about couples. Their relationship reportedly began several years ago, gaining public attention after they frequently appeared together at events and on social media.
