The topic continues to generate curiosity among fans and remains a key discussion point for producers, especially when planning film budgets.
However, the answer is not straightforward, as earnings vary widely depending on the actor, production scale, and distribution method.
In 2026, Nollywood is experiencing a steady rise in production costs, particularly at the top tier of the industry.
This increase is largely driven by the expansion of cinema releases, streaming platform investments, and the growing international demand for Nigerian films. As a result, actor fees have also adjusted upward compared to previous years.
At the highest level of the industry, A-list Nollywood actors now command between ₦5 million and ₦20 million per movie. In exceptional cases, fees can even exceed this range, especially for high-budget productions backed by major studios or streaming platforms.
These actors are considered “bankable,” meaning their involvement alone can attract investors, distributors, and audiences.
