Nollywood actress Sandra Okunuzuwa has addressed and firmly denied recent rumours suggesting that she is pregnant for her colleague, actor Daniel Etim-Effiong.
The actress described the speculation as completely untrue, strange, and surprising, saying it has no basis in reality.
The rumours began circulating on social media and gradually gained attention, leading to increased curiosity from fans and questions directed at the actress while she was actively on a movie set.
The story spread quickly online, prompting many to assume there could be some truth behind it, despite no official confirmation or evidence.
Speaking in an interview, Sandra Okunuzuwa expressed her shock over the claims, making it clear that there is no romantic or personal relationship between her and Daniel Etim-Effiong outside of their professional work in the film industry. According to her, their interaction is strictly limited to movie productions and set activities.
She revealed that she first became aware of the rumour while she was working on set when someone sent her a link containing the allegation.
The actress said she was completely taken aback by the story and could not understand where it was coming from or how it started.
Sandra further explained that her relationship with Daniel Etim-Effiong is purely professional. She stated that they have only worked together on a couple of film projects and are not close friends outside of work.
She added that there is no form of personal relationship between them beyond their roles as colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Responding directly to the rumours, she questioned the logic behind them, expressing disbelief that such a claim could be made about her.
She emphasized that people often create unnecessary stories about celebrities without verifying facts or considering the truth behind the situation.
According to her, “Do you see any pregnancy, what is that about? It’s so weird because the first time I even got to film with Daniel was on my project. We did two movies and we even have another one coming up.”
She continued by noting that she was shocked when she received the message about the rumour while on set.
She added that she found the situation amusing because it made no sense to her at all. In her words, she and Daniel Etim-Effiong are simply colleagues who meet only when working on film projects.
Sandra also clarified that they do not socialize outside of work, stressing that they do not hang out or maintain any personal connection beyond professional obligations. She concluded by stating that their relationship is strictly work-based and should not be misrepresented.
The actress’s response has since helped to clear the air, reaffirming that the pregnancy rumours are false and have no connection to reality.
