Media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife, Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, are preparing to welcome another member into their family as the couple announced they are expecting their third child together.
The announcement was made by Cynthia through an Instagram post, where she reflected on the experience of becoming pregnant again and shared thoughts about how this journey has felt different from previous ones.
Her message quickly attracted reactions from followers and admirers of the couple, many of whom congratulated them on the growing family.
Opening up about the moment, Cynthia expressed surprise at how pregnancy continues to bring new experiences despite already being a mother.
According to her, she had assumed earlier experiences would make the process feel more familiar, but discovered that each stage comes with its own unique reality.
“Yup! Seven years later and we’re here again. That’s 10 years since my first rodeo…” she wrote.
She went on to describe the experience as one that reminded her that motherhood remains unpredictable regardless of how many times someone has gone through it.
“It’s so interesting how you think experience makes things easier or more familiar, but they never lied when they said every pregnancy is different.
“I’m just beyond grateful to God for being my guide through this journey because omo, what a journey it has been.”
Cynthia also shared personal reflections about the significance she associates with the number three, connecting it to ideas about growth, family and life itself.
According to her, she has long believed that there is something meaningful about reaching a third stage in different aspects of life.
“Life is about 1) the beginning, 2) the journey and 3) the end.
“With shapes, one stands alone, two are parallel lines, but three points form an actual shape. A triangle. A unit.
“Even the Bible talks about the Holy Trinity. So, I guess third time’s truly a charm.”
Her comments offered a more personal look into how she views this stage of their family journey and why the moment feels special to her.
She also spoke warmly about the role their daughters, Jewel and Rubi, have played since learning about the pregnancy.
According to Cynthia, the children have shown excitement and enthusiasm about becoming older sisters again.
“I’m beyond thankful for JEWEL and RUBI who have been even more excited than me about a new sibling,” she wrote.
The announcement also included appreciation for her husband, Ebuka, whom she described as supportive throughout the experience.
She jokingly suggested that although he may have expected to be finished with some parenting responsibilities, another round now awaits.
“And for le boo EBUKA who’s been a proper solid rock. I know you thought you were done changing diapers sha (you are old) lol.
“Don’t worry, at least the fab five is now complete. Or is it?”
Ebuka and Cynthia have remained one of Nigeria’s admired celebrity couples since their relationship became public.
The pair got engaged in 2015 before tying the knot in February 2016.
Over the years, they have occasionally shared glimpses of family life while maintaining a largely private approach to raising their children.
Earlier this year, the couple celebrated another milestone when they renewed their vows in Vatican City as part of activities marking a decade of marriage.
Now, with another child on the way, they are preparing to begin a new chapter as a family of five.
