Nollywood actress and politician, Doris Ogala, has been hospitalised after she reportedly collapsed and lost consciousness during a visit to Abia State.
According to reports, the actress was attending a consultation in Umuahia on Friday when she suddenly slumped, causing panic among those around her.
She was quickly rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, where she received emergency medical attention.
Medical personnel at the hospital were said to have acted swiftly to stabilise her condition. After receiving treatment, Doris Ogala later took to her Instagram page to reassure her fans and followers that she was recovering well.
“I was rushed to FMC Umuahia. I lost consciousness. Glory to God I am stabilised now,” she wrote, alongside a video shared from her hospital bed.
In the video, the actress was seen seated in a wheelchair as she interacted with hospital staff and other patients.
Despite her condition, she appeared calm and appreciative, exchanging warm words with those around her. She also offered prayers and encouragement to some of the patients receiving treatment at the facility, a gesture that drew reactions from her supporters online.
Doris Ogala, who has recently transitioned more deeply into politics, is no stranger to public attention. She recently secured the African Action Congress (AAC) ticket for the 2027 Abia governorship election.
