Director Dammy Twitch has recorded a major career breakthrough as his debut feature film, Call of My Life, has officially crossed the N400 million mark at the Nigerian box office, cementing its place among the country’s biggest cinematic successes of 2026.
The filmmaker, who is making his first move into full-scale movie directing, announced the milestone on his Instagram page on Friday.
He shared a promotional poster of the film displaying its updated earnings, while also expressing gratitude to fans and supporters who contributed to its strong performance in cinemas across the country.
According to him, the success of the film was not just about numbers but about the emotional connection it built with audiences.
He described Call of My Life as a project driven by passion, faith, and a simple love story that resonated deeply with moviegoers.
The film has now officially entered the list of the top 10 highest-grossing Nigerian movies of all time, a remarkable achievement for a debut director. Industry observers say the milestone highlights the growing strength of Nollywood’s romantic drama genre, which continues to attract strong audience turnout in cinemas.
Earlier reports from the Nigerian box office indicated that the film had already earned close to N395 million, boosted by a strong third-weekend performance that saw it generate over N88 million.
Its steady climb has been attributed to positive word-of-mouth, strong cast performances, and consistent cinema attendance.
Call of My Life was released on May 15 and has maintained impressive momentum since its debut. It outperformed several competing titles, including local productions and international releases screening at the same time.
The film’s storyline follows Soluchi, a woman rebuilding her life after a painful breakup, whose unexpected work-related phone call leads her into a new emotional journey involving another character, Eli. The narrative explores themes of healing, love, and second chances.
