Odunlade Adekola has expressed gratitude to fans, cast members, and production partners following the successful London staging of the stage production No Wahala Therapy, marking another international highlight in his growing theatre and film career.

The popular Nollywood star took to Instagram to celebrate what he described as a highly successful outing in the United Kingdom, where the play was performed to enthusiastic audiences over the weekend.

The production was staged at Gateway House in Woolwich, a well-known venue that frequently hosts events for the African diaspora community in London.

The performances ran across Saturday and Sunday, with two showings each day scheduled at 5:00pm and 8:00pm to accommodate the high level of interest.

The strong turnout reflected the growing appeal of Nigerian stage productions abroad, particularly among Nigerians living in the UK who continue to seek cultural connections through theatre and storytelling.

No Wahala Therapy is a stage drama that runs between 90 minutes and two hours and is restricted to audiences aged 16 and above due to its mature themes.

The production explores pressing social issues such as migration, mental health, identity struggles, and class differences, all of which are central to the modern “Japa” experience many Nigerians can relate to.

The play was written by Omolola Lamikanra and directed by Mofe Duncan. It features a strong ensemble cast including Timini Egbuson, BamBam Olawunmi Adenibuyan, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, and Lady Motara, alongside Odunlade Adekola himself.

In his appreciation message, Adekola thanked both the cast and production team, praising their commitment and professionalism.

He also acknowledged the producers behind the project, highlighting their vision and dedication in bringing the story to life on an international stage.

His message reflected a strong sense of unity among the team and appreciation for the opportunity to connect with audiences outside Nigeria.

The London shows are part of a broader international push for Nigerian stage productions, which have increasingly found audiences among diaspora communities.

The success of No Wahala Therapy further demonstrates the demand for culturally relevant stories that reflect the realities of migration, emotional adjustment, and social identity.

Beyond its entertainment value, the production has been praised for blending humour with emotional depth, offering audiences both laughter and reflection. Its portrayal of real-life struggles faced by Nigerians abroad has contributed to its positive reception.

With the London performances now concluded, attention is expected to shift toward future international showings.

However, the success of this outing reinforces Odunlade Adekola’s continued influence not only in Nollywood cinema but also in live theatre, where his presence continues to attract strong audience engagement both locally and abroad.
