Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo is celebrating a major milestone as she clocks 40, and the movie star has taken time to reflect on her journey, struggles and victories over the years.
The actress marked her birthday on Instagram with stunning photos that captured what she described as her “Goddess Era.” In her emotional post, Uche opened up about the challenges she has faced in life and how those difficult moments helped shape the strong woman she has become today.
According to the actress, she walked through fire, danced through storms and carried grace through painful seasons, yet still emerged stronger and more refined. For Uche, turning 40 is not just another birthday celebration but a moment of personal victory and transformation.
Sharing her thoughts, she wrote: “Chapter 40 The Goddess Era. I walked through fire, danced through storms, carried grace through pain, and still emerged softer than silk and stronger than gold. This new season isn’t just a birthday… It’s my coronation as a goddess.”
Before her birthday celebration, the mother of three had already spoken openly about some of the fears that come with growing older. She admitted that she still worries about the unknown, menopause and several “what ifs” that often cross her mind.
Despite those fears, the actress said she has decided to embrace joy, gratitude and confidence as she enters a new chapter of her life.
In another post shared days earlier, Uche hinted that she was fully ready for her new age. She declared that she did not come this far in life to shrink herself or live in fear. According to her, although fear still exists, so do beauty, strength, power and faith in God.
The actress has also been vocal about some of the difficult periods she has experienced in recent years. A few weeks ago, she reflected on a season in her life when everything almost broke her emotionally.
She revealed that there were moments she questioned her strength and even her ability to keep pushing forward. However, she expressed gratitude for surviving those dark moments and becoming wiser and more resilient.
Uche Ogbodo has also made headlines recently over her views on friendships and the entertainment industry.
The actress stated that she has cut ties with baseless and selfish friendships as she enters a new phase of her life. She explained that she is focused on protecting her peace and matching people’s energy.
Speaking previously about Nollywood, Uche described the entertainment industry as dark and urged colleagues to genuinely support one another. She advised people to celebrate others if they want good things to come their way as well.
The actress also once advised her colleagues who intend to get married to consider marrying within the entertainment industry, insisting that actors and actresses better understand the demands of the profession.
