“I Don’t Want Marriage” —Speed Darlington Restates ₦5 Million Offer In Search For Woman To Have His Child

Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington has once again spoken openly about his intention to become a father through a structured arrangement that does not involve marriage.

 His latest comments revisit an earlier attempt he made two years ago, while also introducing a revised financial offer for any woman willing to participate in the arrangement.

According to him, his initial effort involved offering ₦3 million to a potential candidate. However, he explained that the outcome of that search did not meet his expectations, particularly in relation to the age group of the women he encountered at the time. He expressed that the experience made him reconsider how he was approaching the idea.

“I was offering ₦3 million two years ago, but I didn’t like the age range of the people I met,” he said.

Following that period, he says he has adjusted his approach and increased the proposed payment to ₦5 million. This new offer, he explained, is directed at any woman within his preferred criteria who is willing to have his child without the expectation of marriage being part of the arrangement.

“Now, I’m willing to pay ₦5 million to any lady willing to have a child for me. I don’t want marriage.”

His position is that the arrangement is strictly focused on fatherhood rather than building a marital relationship. He emphasized that the purpose is centered on having a child, while avoiding the commitments associated with marriage.

At the same time, he noted that the arrangement would not be structured in a way that prevents the mother from having access to the child. He made it clear that involvement in the child’s life would remain open.

“However, you can always come and see the child anytime you want.”

Beyond the financial terms and structure, he also shared the type of partner he prefers for this arrangement. He described a preference for younger women, specifically between the ages of 20 and 24, and indicated interest in individuals who are not from wealthy backgrounds.

“I prefer someone between the ages of 20–24, someone struggling financially, not from a rich family.”

His statements present a personal and unconventional approach to fatherhood, focusing on agreement-based parenting rather than traditional family structure. The comments also reflect his firm stance on separating marriage from his desire to have a child.
