Nigerian model Olajumoke Orisaguna, popularly known as Olajumoke Onibread, has responded to online reactions following a viral TikTok video that raised questions about her lifestyle.
The video, which captured her singing casually in a freestyle manner, quickly circulated on social media and drew mixed responses from viewers. While some fans found the clip entertaining, others expressed concern, speculating that the former bread seller turned model may have taken up smoking or drinking.
Reacting to the assumptions, Olajumoke dismissed the claims, explaining that the video was created purely for entertainment purposes and should not be taken seriously.
“I’m not happy about the comments I saw on my video. Some people were saying that I now smoke and drink alcohol. Why would anyone think that about me? It was just content. I know some people understood that, but it was only content,” she said.
She went on to firmly deny engaging in such habits, stressing that her upbringing and personal values do not align with those behaviours.
“I don’t smoke or drink — I wasn’t raised that way. Please, I’m begging you all, don’t give me a reputation that isn’t mine. Even when I go to parties and I’m offered a drink, I simply leave it on the table,” she added.
Appealing to her followers for understanding, the model reiterated that the clip was simply a creative expression and not a reflection of her personal life.
“Please understand, it was all just content. Even the song I was singing is not mine,” she said.
Olajumoke’s reaction comes as she continues to navigate public attention years after her sudden rise to fame. She first became a household name in 2016 after unexpectedly appearing in a photoshoot with British rapper Tinie Tempah. The moment, captured by celebrity photographer TY Bello, instantly transformed her life and launched her into the spotlight.
Following her breakthrough, she built a career in modelling and media, becoming a symbol of unexpected success and opportunity. However, after a period of prominence, she gradually stepped away from the public eye.
In 2024, Olajumoke made a return to the spotlight with a radio programme titled Kilon Shele, where she began sharing deeper insights into her personal experiences. During this period, she spoke openly about challenges she faced, including issues with former management and struggles within her past marriage.
Her latest clarification appears to be part of an effort to maintain control over her public image and prevent misconceptions from spreading. The viral nature of social media content, she suggested, can often lead to misinterpretation, especially when context is lost.
As reactions continue to trail the TikTok video, many fans have since shown support, acknowledging her explanation and encouraging others to avoid making assumptions based on short clips.
With her response, Olajumoke aims to set the record straight, reminding the public that not everything seen online reflects reality, and urging people to separate entertainment from personal truth.
