Crypto entrepreneur Blord has alleged that his recent arrest and detention were politically motivated, suggesting that his support for a particular political figure made him a target of undue scrutiny by authorities. His comments come shortly after he regained freedom following weeks in custody over multiple allegations.

Blord was initially arrested on April 1 and subsequently remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja.

The charges against him included criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and the alleged unauthorized use of the identity of social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

The case quickly attracted public attention, with many observers closely following developments around his detention and legal proceedings.

After spending over two weeks behind bars, Blord was granted bail on April 17 by Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court in Abuja. His release marked a turning point in the case, as supporters and associates welcomed him back, expressing relief and solidarity.

Speaking publicly for the first time after his release, Blord addressed a crowd of supporters who gathered to receive him at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport.

During his remarks, the 28-year-old entrepreneur maintained that the circumstances surrounding his arrest were not purely legal but were influenced by political considerations.

According to him, his open support for a “brother,” widely interpreted as a political ally, may have triggered the actions taken against him. He argued that his stance placed him at odds with certain interests, leading to what he described as an attempt to intimidate or silence him.

“I’m very proud to be an Ndi Igbo. They can never intimidate me,” he said while addressing the crowd. He emphasized that the situation went beyond a simple legal dispute, insisting that it was rooted in politics.

“What you people saw wasn’t a small fight. It is politics because I want to support my brother; they want to deal with me. I can never be bought,” he added.

Blord’s statements have sparked discussions online and among political observers, with some questioning the intersection between law enforcement actions and political affiliations.

While authorities have yet to respond directly to his claims, the case continues to generate interest, particularly given the prominence of the personalities involved.

Despite the controversy, Blord appears determined to move forward, using the experience as a platform to reaffirm his beliefs and political stance.

His reception at the airport, marked by cheers and support from followers, suggests that he retains a strong base of loyal supporters who view his ordeal as unjust.

As the legal process continues, attention will likely remain on both the allegations against him and his claims of political persecution.

Whether his assertions will influence public perception or the direction of the case remains to be seen, but for now, Blord has made it clear that he is unwilling to back down from his position.
