Public attention around Nigerian content creator GehGeh has intensified again, this time following a video released by his elder brother, who spoke about his current condition and appealed for financial assistance.
The development comes shortly after GehGeh’s sister also shared her own concerns publicly, bringing multiple family perspectives into focus within a short period.
In the video, the elder brother addressed claims that GehGeh had covered medical expenses on his behalf, questioning those assertions while describing the situation he says he is currently facing after leaving the hospital. He spoke about the difficulty of meeting basic needs and the lack of response to attempts at reaching out.
“GehGeh can’t you feed me? You are shouting on social media that you paid 5million for my operation, are you the person to pay for his brother's operation? Now, I left hospital but no food to eat. My wife will call him that we are hungry, he doesn’t pick her call. Is it a bad thing for my wife to ask him for money?” he said.
He also used the opportunity to make a direct appeal to Nigerians, acknowledging previous financial support raised for his younger sister but explaining why he felt unable to request help from her despite their relationship.
“Nigerians, thank you for raising 1million naira for my younger sister, but I can’t beg my younger sister to give me from the money because I'm like her father, please I need your help, I don't have food to eat, I know you all are good people, please I will paste my account number on my screen, please make Nna help me Nigerians,” he added.
The timing of the video has drawn attention, as it comes only days after GehGeh’s sister publicly shared her own experience involving alleged lack of support and an incident at a family gathering. Her earlier statement had already generated discussion online, and the emergence of another family member’s account has added a new dimension to the situation.
