The gospel music world has been shaken by a deeply moving message shared by Kehinde Adegbodu, mourning the sudden loss of his identical twin brother and musical partner, Taiwo Adegbodu.
In a post filled with raw emotion and unforgettable reflections, Kehinde opened his heart to fans, family, and followers around the world.
Looking back on their final moments together, Kehinde wrote with palpable sorrow, “By this time last week Saturday, you were still alive and very active. We were together till 11pm before you left suddenly."
What followed has left fans reeling a realization that life can change in an instant.
He continued, “It’s already 8 days without you, my best friend. Eight days you chose to stay alone in the morgue without telling me you were going.”
The tribute captured the depth of their bond not just as brothers, but as best friends and fellow worshippers.
“So I will not see you anymore, so I will not hear your powerful vocal voice again,” he wrote, underscoring how much Taiwo’s voice meant not only to him but to the many souls touched by their music.

Please Sir T, you must do everything to become the number one choir master in Heaven,” he wrote,
imagining Taiwo continuing his gift in the next life. He urged his brother to watch over the family and their ministry “in spirit to take care of the kids, wife, and band members.”
Kehinde’s tribute also revealed a deeper understanding of the wisdom Taiwo shared with him:
“Now I understand the reason why you always tell me I can do it… now I know why sometimes you tell our manager we can attend two shows at a time.” There was laughter in that line, but also profound respect and admiration.
Closing his emotional message, Kehinde made a vow that resonated with conviction:
“But I promise never to disappoint you in every area and I am sure you will stay with me forever till we meet again up there. IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL!”
