Actress Sarah Martins has sparked controversy online after openly criticizing Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, following the revelation that the latter is battling stage four breast cancer.

Sarah took to Instagram to deliver a scathing message aimed at Blessing, suggesting that her current struggles are a consequence of past actions.

According to Sarah, Blessing had previously mocked the death of a woman who had not wronged her and flaunted her relationship with IVD, the Lagos businessman at the center of a highly publicized tragedy. Sarah’s post warns that Blessing would not only endure cancer but also experience mental anguish.

Blessing CEO’s history with IVD has been a source of intense public scrutiny. IVD’s late wife, Bimbo, tragically died in a fire incident in their Lagos home in October 2022.

Reports alleged that Bimbo suffered physical abuse during her marriage, culminating in the fatal incident. Following Bimbo’s death, Blessing made controversial comments regarding the deceased, which prompted legal action by Bimbo’s family and resulted in a jail sentence for Blessing.

After serving her sentence, Blessing rekindled her public relationship with IVD. The couple became engaged and reportedly planned a wedding in Qatar; however, IVD was arrested at the airport, adding another layer to their turbulent story.

Sarah Martins’ reaction shows a lack of sympathy for Blessing, instead using the opportunity to publicly admonish her.

Her Instagram post explicitly states that mocking another person’s misfortune invites misfortune in return.

The actress’s comments have reignited discussions on social media about accountability, morality, and the public nature of celebrity lives in Nigeria.

This incident highlights the challenges of public perception and the scrutiny that celebrities face when past actions resurface.

Blessing CEO’s ongoing health battle is now being discussed alongside her controversial history, with Sarah Martins’ post serving as a polarizing reminder of how actions, especially those that hurt others, can have long-lasting consequences.

The story underscores the interplay between personal misfortune, public judgment, and social media commentary in Nigeria’s celebrity culture, sparking debates about empathy, justice, and morality in the age of instant digital exposure.
