Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Olakunle Churchill has finally addressed the viral billboard that set social media abuzz after it surfaced online.

The massive display, mounted at the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, featured Churchill, his ex-wife Tonto Dikeh, and their son  instantly triggering speculation and heated conversations across digital platforms.

Many online users quickly assumed that Churchill personally funded and erected the billboard, with some even dragging his current wife, Rosy Meurer, into the unfolding drama.

The assumptions spread rapidly, turning what appeared to be a celebratory gesture into a trending controversy.

However, Churchill has now set the record straight.

Taking to his Instagram story, the businessman made it clear that he was not responsible for putting up the billboard.

According to him, the large display was actually a thoughtful gift from a close friend who wanted to celebrate his first son in a grand way.

“I didn’t erect the billboard,” Churchill clarified, shutting down the swirling rumours. To further prove his point, he shared screenshots of a private chat with the friend responsible for the gesture.

In the conversation, the friend clearly stated that the billboard was a gift dedicated to Churchill’s son.

The clarification has since shifted the narrative, as many followers acknowledged that the viral billboard was simply a heartfelt tribute rather than a calculated move.

While social media speculation can spread quickly, Churchill’s response appears to have calmed the storm.

The Lekki-Ikoyi billboard may have sparked controversy, but it has also highlighted how quickly assumptions can escalate online. For Churchill, the focus remains on celebrating his son not fueling unnecessary drama.
